GENDER  AFFIRMING  LETTERS

Transgender, Non-Binary, Gender Expansive, and Intersex folks:
Recognizing the gatekeeping and barriers associated with accessing gender-affirming medical interventions and the related challenges, Express Yourself Therapy pledges to support the trans, non-binary, gender expansive, and intersex community and to reduce the obstacles wherever possible. As such, we provide free, short-term therapy to individuals who require letters to access gender-affirming medical care.

We will work together to draft the letter and support you in achieving the interventions you want. We support your quest for self determination, self-discovery, and your right to express your identity, acknowledging that you are the only one who truly knows your experience of gender. Our letters serve as a means of helping you get the treatments you need.

​We commit to do our best to provide clients with education around what is entailed in the preparation, medical processes, and recovery process of the gender affirming care you seek. In addition to removing barriers and combatting gatekeeping, we believe that everyone should have access to the information necessary to make informed decisions about their gender affirming care and recovery.
